Cabergoline Dostinex Cabaser Uses

Cabergoline is often marketed as Dostinex.  Dostinex is a medication that also goes by the name Cabaser. Originally, cabergoline aka Dostinex was created to treat pituitary tumors by lowering the levels of prolactin in the body.  However other uses have been found for cabergoline as well. As with any drug, ask your doctor to make sure it is safe and will not interact with other medications you're taking.

Related Uses:
  1. Testosterone

    • Testosterone is the male sex hormone. When it is deficient in the body, cabergoline aka Dostinex is used to boost it.

    RLS

    • Restless leg syndrome is a condition in which uncomfortable sensations in the legs cause people to move them uncontrollably. Cabergoline aka Dostinex may be used to treat restless leg syndrome.

    Tremors

    • Parkinson's disease is a condition that causes tremors and stiffness in the muscles. Caberoline aka Dostinex may help to relieve these symptoms.

    Energy

    • People who are suffering from low energy levels and fatigue use cabergoline as Dostinex or Cabaser for a lift.

    Bodybuilding

    • Cabergoline as Dostinex or Cabaser is used by bodybuilders to reduce elevated prolactin levels, which are the result of steroid use.  Anabolic steroid use is illegal in the United States of America.

Uses of Cabergoline aka Dostinex Adapted from Wikipedia:
      • Hyperprolactinemia.
      • Adjunctive therapy of prolactin-producing pituitary gland tumors (prolactinomas).
      • Monotherapy of Parkinson's disease in the early phase.
      • Cabergoline: Combination therapy, together with levodopa and a decarboxylase inhibitor such as carbidopa, in progressive-phase Parkinson's disease.
      • Cabergoline: In some countries also: ablactation and dysfunctions associated with hyperprolactinemia (amenorrhea, oligomenorrhea, anovulation, nonpuerperal mastitis and galactorrhea).
      • Cabergoline: Treatment of uterine fibroids.[4][5]
      • Cabergoline: Adjunctive therapy of acromegaly, cabergoline has low efficacy in suppressing growth hormone levels and is highly efficient in suppressing hyperprolactinemia that is present in 20-30% of acromegaly cases. Growth hormone and prolactinare similar structurally and have similar effects in many target tissues, therefore targeting prolactin may help symptoms when growth hormone secretion can not be sufficiently controlled by other methods.
      • Cabergoline: Cushing's disease - cabergoline may be used to lower ACTH levels and cause regression of ACTH producing pituitary adenomas.[6]
      • Cabergoline: Other pituitary adenomas - cabergoline has demonstrated certain efficacy in controlling or reducing other kinds of pituitary adenomas, as well as silent or non-fucntional adenomas.

Off-label/recreational uses

Cabergoline aka Dostinex or Cabaser has at times been used as an adjunct to SSRI antidepressants as there is some evidence that Cabergoline counteracts certain side effects of those drugs, such as reduced libido and anorgasmia. Cabergoline also has been suggested online that it has a possible recreational use in reducing or eliminating the male refractory period, thereby allowing men to experience multiple ejaculatory orgasms in rapid succession, and at least one scientific study supports those speculations.[7] Cabergoline aka Dostinex or Cabaser is also used by bodybuilders to control gynecomastia caused by elevated prolactin levels through the use of anabolic steroids such as Nandrolone and Trenbolone. Additionally, a systematic review and meta-analysis concluded that prophylactic treatment with cabergoline reduces the incidence, but not the severity, of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), without compromising pregnancy outcomes, in females undergoing stimulated cycles of in vitro fertilization (IVF).[8] Also, a study on rats found that cabergoline reduces voluntary alcohol consumption
More to come regarding Cabergoline commonly known as Dostinex or Cabaser.
